My baby.

Hi. I'm Lee.

I attend Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago and I love it. I'm a Junior there, studying a major that encompasses all three majors of communication, media and theatre. I have no idea what I'll do with it when I'm done.

I read... a lot... way more than I should. My favorite author is Diana Gabaldon. I think she is brilliant. I don't have a favorite book (there are too many to choose from!), but if you go to my Goodreads account you will see which ones I like better than others. It's embarrassing to tell people how long my booklist is so don't ask. I put up book reviews occasionally (you can see them here). Some are more insightful than others but I still get my point across. I also think that my current part time job (Barnes and Noble) is the greatest place to work at.

My favorite band is Gaelic Storm. I listen to it daily. It also cheers me up. My favorite songs are "Don't Go for the One" and "Cab Ride to Kingston." i also like Loreena McKennitt and a little bit of Enya. I'm starting to branch out in that genre and I really like Tartanic. I saw them at the Ren Faire and fell in love. I think Savage Garden is great for nighttime driving and The Dark Night soundtrack should be played if you are ever in a high speed chase.

I also write... a little... when I feel like it. I've been writing since high school and have produced a story that has been a "work in progress" ever since. I also like to thank Green Day for the inspiration for that story. I don't write everyday. I should, but I don't. I feel that to write everyday means to write for an hour and a half... and I'm too lazy for that. Even though I've convinced myself to just write at least five lines a day, I've yet to put that plan into motion. I'll let you know when that happens. And, like my one friend, I've found myself to be in possession of way more journals than I'll need for a long time... and yet I still keep buying them.

I was introduced to Stargate SG-1 in high school and I've been a big fan ever since. I didn't begin watching Stargate Atlantis until well into the third or fourth season because I thought I wouldn't like it. "It's not SG-1," I thought. "It won't be the same." No, it's not SG-1;no, it's not quite the same, but I got hooked after I finally sat down and watched an episode. And I am really mad that they canceled it. I don't know what to think about Stargate Universe. I'm on the fence about it. I'll let you know when I watch it.

It's only natural to follow Amanda Tapping to her new show, Sanctuary, and I think it's absolutely wonderful. I also like Bones, Charmed, Eli Stone (I fuckin' love this show!), Eureka, House and Life on Mars (the U.S. version). Another friend showed me Firefly, and I can't get enough of it now, even though I didn't like the movie, Serenity. Call me crazy. That same friend told me to watch Torchwood, which I did, and that led to Doctor Who.
